  • A limited number of fishing boats are available. Booking is recommended: 1578@boote-oeschinensee.ch
  • The fishing boats have a fish box and an anchor.
  • No fishing equipment is rented out.
  • A maximum of 4 people are allowed per fishing boat.
  • Opening hours: 10am-5 pm

How to get there

From Kandersteg, take the Oeschinensee cable car up the mountain and then walk 20 minutes to the lake. Or you can walk up from Kandersteg in around 60 minutes. www.oeschinensee.ch

Important notes

  • Boats cannot be reserved
  • Maximum 4 persons per boat
  • Staff Instructions must be followed at all times
  • Children < 16 may onlyaccompanied by an adult.
  • No Alcohol or drug consumption
  • A safe distance must be maintained from other boats, swimmers, and the shoreline
            25M from shore – no landing
             100m from rock walls – falling rocks danger
              Do not enter danger zone (yellow buoys)   
  • No jumping or swimming from the boat   
  • Only 1 person rowing   
  • Don’t tie boats together   
  • Children < 12: rescue jacket mandatory  also for non swimmers
  • Return immediately in bad weather   
  • Duty to assist others
  • Advance registration requested for school classes and groups of 13 or more people
